Each bead is created by hand and no two beads are ever exactly alike. Yet, like a pearl, they are not perfectly smooth. This is very common of washi beads and it is what makes them unique and desired over manufactured beads. They have 3 coats of lacquer to give them a high gloss and protect them from sun, dirt and perspiration. Although washi beads are quite durable, it is advised not to wear them bathing, swimming.
To care for your washi bracelet:
1. Simply rolling them gently in a soft dry cloth should be enough to clean them. Should it be necessary, you can use a soft damp cloth to clean them.
2. Store them away from direct sunlight.
3. It is best to put your bracelet on last; after you are done dressing and after any hand / body / suntan lotions have dried completely.
