At this time there are over 210 confirmed deaths and another 1700 injured left in the wake of the Alabama tornado.  It was the hardest hit of the six reported states that were ravaged by the mile wide tornadoes that swept through the region on April, 27th.  There were another dozen more death related storms reported in Tennessee, Georgia, Kentucky, Virginia and Mississippi.  Those who escaped with their lives are left with little more than the clothes on their back.

This Morning. . .

I stepped outside to find a moth sleeping atop the backdoor lantern.  The fog that crept in the night before still hovered low over the entire neighborhood.  It's about this time that the sounds of children and school bus should fill the air, but not this morning.  The local schools are on spring break.  This morning, it's was as though all the world was still fast in sleep.  That is, all the world except for my cat, Dude, and me.

    It has been well over eight months since I last posted here.  Before that, it was a bit spotty, a sort of hit and miss.  It's not that I haven't wanted to post.....I've just been so very busy.  And, with so much going on, something had to give.
 

Now that I have some free time, I thought I might try to get back in the game.  I have missed blogging and I have missed reading from all my favorite blogs.....missed all the lovely people.
