Wednesday Words

 

Dictionary

 

I have decided to make Wednesday a regularly posted word day; titling it Wednesday Words.

So as I flip through the pages of Merriam Webster's Dictionary, my eye comes to rest on the word.....

 

Choplogic

chop·log·ic \ chäp-lä-jik \ n [obsolete, chop to exchange, trade, from Middle English choppen to barter] (1533) : involved and often specious argumentation -- choplogic  adj.

He was so choplogic in his  manner, that I grew tired of arguing and left.
